Anglia Karting Centre
The Anglia Karting Centre is based in Norfolk’s heart, on Swaffham’s outskirts. The Anglia Karting Centre is lucky enough to have two outdoor race tracks, which can be combined to make a 1030-meter distance in total! That makes an adrenaline-fuelled day of exciting kart racing and even more.
We can cater for adults and junior racers aged eight years and above (minimum height of 4ft 4″). If the day isn’t long enough we can always switch on the floodlights so the fun does not need to end when the sun goes down.
History of the Site
Long before go-karts, our site was originally part of the RAF North Pickenham Station which was constructed for the United States Army Air Force in 1943.
The site opened in 1944 and the 18th April that year saw the Eighth Force 492d Bombardment Section (Heavy) take up station to run bombing campaigns as part of the Second World War.
The RAF closed and sold the site in 1965.
Since then it has been an activity camp for the scouts before being developed into a karting track. Originally designed as a figure of eight, subsequent investment in a second, more complex track allows us to offer a variety of layouts right up to the full 1030 metre track.
Today we offer a wide range of activities which are detailed within our pages.
